Jewelry Photography

I love making my own handmade jewelry, but I struggled photographing each piece. What I learned was, it's a whole new world when it comes to taking good photographs of jewelry. I needed special lenses, lighting, props, a shadow box, a studio in a box and most of all, Photoshop.

Now, I thought learning to photograph jewelry was a real struggle. Imagine my surprise, when I thought I could learn Photoshop overnight. And, my college degree is in information technology. I might note, that this degree didn't do a bit of good when it came to learning Photoshop. Thank goodness for YouTube and people's willingness to share!

Here are some of the photos I have taken of my handmade jewelry.....which by the way has gone to friends and family. It's also important to tell you that my jewelry box is the size of a small bedroom.
